Updates from the Farm

The greenhouse is full of green! We have been planting like crazy and getting transplants started to put out in the field as soon as the weather gets a bit nicer. We already have some greens in the field under greenhouse plastic but the nights are still a bit too cold for anything else.

I have been busy getting new batches of soap, lip balms and jams made and Adam has been busy getting the field and compost piles ready for planting.

The tomatoes in the raised bed are about a foot tall and have blooms on them already and needed to be tied up last weekend as they are growing like crazy. The basil plants are getting big and ready to be made into fresh pesto, the hanging baskets are filled with lots of colorful edible flowers and the flats on the tables are full of tomatoes, peppers and herbs.

The first Lees Summit Market is Saturday April 7th and I will do another update as that day nears with the items we will have for opening market day!

Getting excited for Spring!!
